EN New Power Hosts Lithium-Ion Battery Fire Safety Seminar and Emergency Drill

To fully fulfill the primary responsibility for fire safety and precisely improve the fire prevention and control efficiency covering the entire process of lithium-ion battery production, storage and usage, the Guidance Group of the Combat Training Division of Jinan Fire and Rescue Detachment and the High-Tech Zone Fire and Rescue Brigade paid a visit to EN New Power recently, launching a special campaign of technical exchanges on lithium-ion battery fire safety and joint fire drills.

Yu Peng, General Manager of EN New Power, together with the staffs in charge of all relevant departments of the company, participated in the whole process, ensuring the efficient and orderly implementation of this special activity.

During the preparation for this event, the company attached great importance to it and made elaborate overall planning and advancement. All departments assumed clear responsibilities and maintained efficient collaboration, successively completing a full set of preliminary preparations including government-enterprise liaison, emergency response plan formulation, on-site standardized rectification, fire-fighting supplies preparation, and technical coordination and linkage. These efforts laid a solid guarantee for the safe, orderly and smooth running of the event.

At the outset of the event, Mr.Yu accompanied a delegation from the Guidance Group of the Combat Training Division, Jinan Fire and Rescue Detachment, as well as the High-Tech Zone Fire and Rescue Brigade, on a tour of the company’s exhibition hall. During the visit, he delivered a comprehensive overview of the company’s development trajectory and its fire safety management practices.

Subsequently, both parties convened a technical exchange seminar in the conference room, engaging in in-depth discussions on key topics—including fire hazards associated with lithium-ion battery manufacturing, electrical protection strategies, and automatic fire suppression systems.

The joint fire drill officially kicked off. Mr.Yu presided over the drill on site and announced its commencement. The company’s emergency response team responded promptly and operated efficiently, completing the initial fire suppression in strict accordance with the emergency plan. All personnel were evacuated to the designated safety assembly point in a regulated and orderly manner.

Professional contingents from the High-Tech Zone Fire and Rescue Brigade arrived at the scene immediately, deployed sophisticated fire-fighting equipment, and fought side by side with the enterprise’s emergency team in a coordinated effort to resolve the incident. The entire fire response procedure was accomplished to high standards. Well-organized and highly effective, the drill came to a successful conclusion.

At the conclusion of the drill, senior leaders from the Guidance Group of the Combat Training Division of the Jinan Fire and Rescue Detachment conducted an on-site debriefing and evaluation. They commended EN New Power for its notable accomplishments in fire safety management and emergency system development, and provided targeted recommendations for optimizing and enhancing safety prevention and control—specifically addressing key risk areas within the lithium-ion battery industry.  

This specialized government–enterprise joint exercise has further strengthened the coordinated emergency linkage mechanism and comprehensively enhanced the company’s practical capabilities in safety prevention and control, as well as in emergency response and incident management. Moving forward, EN New Power will leverage this exercise as a strategic opportunity to reinforce full-chain safety accountability, institutionalize routine hazard identification and emergency drills, and safeguard the enterprise’s high-quality development with a robust, multi-layered safety defense system.
